Storytelling at Burchetts Green

ImageI was invited to tell stories at Burchetts Green Infant School last Thursday. The children are amazing, full of natural humour and responsiveness to the stories, and we had a glorious time. In assembly I told the tale of the Three Spinners: the entire school was on its feet spinning flax. I told two Berkshire Folk Tales to Years 1&2, The Cheviot Shepherd’s Charm and King Gaarge and the Dragon – they have been working on George and the Dragon in class, so this was a chance to talk about the Berkshire version of the tale.
